Columbia Sportswear Company Announces Support of Nepal Disaster Relief 4/28/15

“Mountain Hardwear announces the Columbia Sportswear Company family of brands (Columbia Sportswear, MHW, Sorel, prAna, Montrail) plans to support Nepalese earthquake relief efforts with a donation of $50k to non-profit organizations including Mercy Corps, Oxfam & UNICEF. The company will also match all employee donations earmarked for the Nepal relief effort without limit. MHW will work with on-the-ground relief agencies to provide product donations of tents, sleeping bags & protective clothing as conditions on the ground allow.”

Yakima Announces #sharethetrail Campaign to Promote Outdoor Stewardship 4/27/15

Yakima, together with its longtime partners Leave No Trace, International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) and Subaru, has launched #sharethetrail, an online photo contest. Aimed to promote outdoor stewardship, it will feature crowd-sourced images of people taking care of the trails they use and love.
